For Training Providers

IAM Recognised Training Centres

Become an IAM Recognised Training Centre and deliver IAM Certified Programmes. You can also have your own qualifications, courses, and events endorsed by the IAM — backed by one of the UK’s oldest professional bodies, founded in 1915.

What is IAM Centre Recognition?

IAM Centre Recognition enables training providers to deliver IAM Certified Programmes and IAM CPD Courses. Through our rigorous quality assurance process, we recognise training centres that meet our high standards of educational excellence.

Important: IAM Recognised Training Centre status covers IAM Certified Programmes only. For Ofqual-regulated qualifications, centres must be approved directly by the relevant awarding organisations (Qualifi). However, training providers may also apply to have their own qualifications and courses endorsed by the IAM — see Course and Qualification Endorsement below.

As an IAM Recognised Training Centre, you can:

Deliver IAM Certified Programmes

18 programmes across the General Pathway (4 levels) and 14 Specialism Certificates, each leading to an IAM credential and membership pathway

Deliver IAM CPD Courses

300+ CPD courses across 11 categories — full courses, short courses, and microlearning — with verified CPD credit for learners

Get Your Own Courses Endorsed

Have your existing qualifications and training courses assessed and endorsed by the IAM, demonstrating alignment with recognised professional standards

Get Your Events Endorsed

Have your conferences, seminars, workshops, and professional events assessed and endorsed by the IAM, enabling attendees to claim verified CPD credit

Benefits of IAM Centre Recognition

Becoming an IAM Recognised Training Centre offers significant advantages that enhance your institution’s credibility and attract more learners

Professional Recognition

Recognition by one of the UK’s oldest professional bodies signals that your training centre meets the standards set out in the IAM Professional Standards for Administrative Management and the Certified Programmes Handbook.

Access to Resources

Recognised centres gain access to programme syllabuses, assessment guidance, standardisation events, and the IAM’s quality assurance support. All programmes are aligned to the seven Competency Domains.

Continuous Support

The IAM provides ongoing external quality assurance, including centre visits, assessment standardisation, and continuous improvement guidance. Centre staff benefit from IAM membership and CPD opportunities.

Increased Student Attraction

The IAM brand, established since 1915, is associated with professional excellence. Recognised centre status enhances your marketing and attracts learners and corporate clients seeking IAM-credentialed development.

Recognised Credentials

Learners who complete programmes at Recognised Training Centres receive IAM Certificates, digital badges via the IAM Badge Platform, and a pathway to IAM Professional Membership with post-nominal designations.

Quality Assurance

The IAM’s quality assurance framework, set out in the Certified Programmes Handbook (IAM-CPH-2026-001), includes centre approval, internal quality assurance requirements, external quality assurance visits, and assessment standardisation.

Course and Qualification Endorsement

Training providers and organisations that deliver their own qualifications or courses can apply to have them endorsed by the IAM. IAM endorsement confirms that a course or qualification has been assessed against the IAM Professional Standards and meets the IAM’s expectations for quality, content, and assessment rigour.

Endorsement is available for qualifications at any level, CPD courses, and in-house training programmes. Each submission is assessed individually. You may submit multiple courses or qualifications for endorsement.
